Conducted workshop for counseling center interns that included an overview of psychoneuroimmunology. The pathways between the brain and the immune system were described and their relationship to disease and recovery from illness were covered. Also taught self-hypnosis for health enhancement.

Introduction to Self-Hypnosis for Improved Health: Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS), District Three Office, Gainesville, Florida, November 1989.
Designed and conducted an experiential workshop for HRS employees. Explained the mind-body connection and taught self-hypnosis for health enhancement.

Designed and co-facilitated a workshop for psychologists and mental health professionals. Workshop was didactic and experiential in scope.

Designed and conducted an experiential workshop for hospital staff. Taught the staff cognitive restructuring, mental imagery for relaxation, and self-hypnosis for stress management.

Conducted a workshop for resident managers and assistant directors of Village Communities to learn effective communication skills when dealing with difficult students.

Designed a new interdisciplinary program to improve students’ physical and psychological health. The functioning of the immune system was described and the importance of the mind in influencing health was explored.
